Dental Implant Retained Dentures Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton

We Offer Both Titanium (metal) and Ceramic (metal-free) Dental Implants in Palo Alto

A dental implant is a small ceramic or titanium screw secured into the jawbone which serves as the anchor or tooth root of the replacement tooth. Both the Ceramic Metal-Free and Titanium implants are a biocompatible material that fuses with the jaw bone which helps to stabilize the implant and prevent facial changes that can occur with bone loss.

Teeth that have been replaced with dental implants will look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth and in most cases, with proper maintenance and care, could last a lifetime.

Do You Have Dentures That Slip and Move While You Talk, Chew and Smile?

Dental Implant Retained Dentures ARE The Way To Go!

They’re More Natural Looking – Dentures that are placed over dental implants look, feel, and function more like your natural teeth. The denture is securely anchored to the implant which allows you to smile and chew just as you would with your natural teeth.

There’s No Movement – When dentures are anchored to dental implants, they will not move, which is not the case with removable dentures. Removable dentures are fixed to the gums with adhesives that are not effective and will allow the dentures to slip which will affect your smile and ability to chew.

You’ll Have Improved Chewing Ability – With dental implant retained dentures, you’ll chew just like you would with natural teeth.

Snap On Lower Denture (removable)

Palo Alto Snap-On DentureSnap On Dentures are not only stronger than traditional dentures but are far more comfortable. Unlike traditional removable dentures that sit on top of the gums and can move around while talking and eating, Snap On dentures are overdentures which are securely attached to dental implants. Two or more implants will be required for a Snap On denture and the exact number will be determined and discussed with you once you’ve had a consultation and exam with Dr. Heidari.

Screw Retained Lower Denture (fixed)

Screw Retained Lower Denture Palo Alto, Menlo Park, AthertonThis more permanent tooth replacement option involves placing four or more implants into your jaw and attaching the denture to them with screws.  With this method, the denture doesn’t touch the gum tissue, which will allow you to clean under it without having to remove it. This type of denture will replace all of your missing lower teeth and will not have to be removed except when you visit Dr. Heidari for your checkup and maintenance.

Screw Retained Upper Denture (fixed)

Removable Implant Denture Palo Alto, Menlo Park, AthertonBecause the bone is not as hard as that in the lower jaw, you’ll often need more implants to support the upper denture. Depending upon the number of implants to be placed, it may be possible to eliminate the need for covering the roof of your mouth with a complete denture. This option allows you to fully taste your food and gives you a better sense of its temperature.

Dental Implant Bridge (fixed)

An implant-retained bridge is similar to a traditional dental bridge, but is supported by dental implants which makes them a superior solution for your overall oral health.  The implants will not decay, leak, or fracture and they will help to preserve the structure of your jaw.
